Donald Trump’s law firm just so happens to also be “Russia’s Firm of the Year” 2016. You literally can’t make this stuff up.
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, the international law firm put in charge of helping Trump separate himself from conflicts of interest – and therefore from possible corruption and from managing his businesses – was recognized in 2016 as “Russia Law Firm of the Year,” according to Chamber & Partners.
Trump claims that he’s has no connection whatsoever with Russia, despite clear evidence in the U.S. intelligence communities that suggests otherwise.
So far, it’s been his team’s strategy to flat-out deny any allegations of being in any way associated with – let alone in the process of being blackmailed by – Russia, in the face of high-level security officials reporting there to be a real problem area for Trump where foreign corruption is involved.
If Russia cyberattacked the United States in a massive hacking scheme which has been said to have impacted both the Republican and Democratic parties – which it did – that constitutes an act of cyberwar.
While no one wants to go to war with Russia over their interfering in the 2016 presidential elections, Trump’s saying that this interference is actually cause for improving relations with Russia, as an ally, is clearly problematic.
