Even Republican senators are saying that Donald Trump should own up to whatever he’s done in the past and get it over with – especially now that Russia is trying to blackmail him.
However, this is because Senator Chuck Grassley thinks that, even if Russia does have compromising information about Trump – it’s no big deal. It’s “improbable” that allegations would hurt Trump because “so much damaging information on Trump is already publicly available.”
So that’s one way to look at Russia blackmailing Trump over a secret relationship they’ve had over the past five years at least: Trump really has nothing to lose anymore, anyway. Everyone already knows he’s personally disgusting.
While new reports are showing Trump’s connection to Russia has been deep, secretive, and years-long – and that the relationship would have given Russia a good amount of time to build up blackmail against him.
“It seems to me that when you go back through the campaign and all the things that Trump said that ought to give him political problems and all the things that were caught on tape – that he would probably just as soon not have the world know about it… and he was elected President of the United States.”
“Trump’s going to serve and if it’s a case of blackmail – I don’t know how you overcome blackmail – except just admit that you did something.”
Or, maybe, resign like everyone with any respect for themselves would have done long ago.
