Trump is Furious: A Lone Hero from the National Security Council Wrote a Scathing Letter Explaining Why He Quit

A National Security Council spokesman decided he would rather RESIGN than serve under the crooked White House of President Trump:

“Despite working proudly for Republican and Democratic presidents, I reluctantly concluded that I cannot in good faith serve this administration as an intelligence professional,” the government worker wrote in an op-ed.

“This was not a decision I made lightly.”

Edward Price, who has worked for the CIA since 2006 and served as spokesman for the National Security Council, left because he was deeply troubled by President Donald Trump.

“the president’s trusted White House advisers, not career professionals, reportedly have final say over what intelligence reaches his desk.

“The White House’s inclination was clear. It has little need for intelligence professionals who, in speaking truth to power, might challenge the so-called ‘America First’ orthodoxy that sees Russia as an ally and Australia as a punching bag.”

He did have some parting advice for the Trump team:

If this administration is serious about building trust with the intelligence community, however, it will require more than rallies at CIA headquarters or press statements.”

He says that intelligence officers would MUCH prefer to be truly heard by policymakers.

Indeed.

  1. Aw, this was a very nice post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to produce a great article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and never seem to get nearly anything done.
